My Leadership Compass

In order to create and maintain a successful and productive working environment, My leadership philosophy is based on my personal values, principles, expectations and effective communication.

What you are about to read now is going to give you crystal clear points by which you will know where I stand, what I expect and how you can position yourself in my team. This is going to help us to work together very closely to reach our goals to make our company’s big name, much bigger.

I value Teamwork. In a team, each person does less to achieve more in total.

I value Respect. Please remember, just because what he inherited from his/her ancestors, no one in our team is inferior or superior than you. My respect always depends on your contribution to the team. I respect you and you respect the team members. I want to know about your personality, your family and how you approach problems; however I don’t care about your race, religion or nationality.

I value Integrity. In bad times as much as the good times; I demand your honesty, courtesy and loyalty. Your moral values make you who you are. If I can’t trust you, you are not in my team anymore.

I value Consistency and Predictability. Even I am out of the room, I must be sure of things are handled in the way we have decided together and your character is still the same.

I value Effective Communication. I communicate my messages timely and clearly; and expect your feedback to see if you receive it without any distortion. I do the same. When in doubt, I am available to provide you with the clarification you need. This is critical to Execution.

I value Accuracy. There is no room for guesses. In order to see where we are, we need timely accurate information to make decisions.

I value Recognition of Good Work. When you show the good examples of dignity, right thinking, problem solving and supporting your team; you are publicly recognized.

In order to reach our goals, I lead by;

-          Timely information

-          Justice

-          Teaching

-          Responsibility

-          Integrity

-          Setting the examples

-          Mutual understanding and agreement

-          Encouragement

-          And ethical values.

I Expect You;

-          To tell the truth; as liars will be fired

-          To share your solutions with me; as complaining is a waste of time

-          To be punctual for your meetings; as this way you can expect others to do the same

-          To open your mind for finding more effective ways to do your job

-          To respect others; as this is the way you teach them to respect you

-          To communicate professionally and mind about your style, punctuation and grammar

-          To criticize responsibly; no humiliation is allowed

-          To think twice before you make important decisions

-          To know what you are doing and why

-          Not to be afraid of admitting your mistakes, as they are the greatest opportunities to learn

-          Not to promise for what you can’t fulfill; trust is built this way.

My Hot-Buttons Are:

-          Lack of Commitment and Preparation

-          Procrastination

-          All kinds of harassment

-          Hypocrisy

-          Dishonesty

-          Unprofessional look and behavior

Viewing all these values and standards, I will demand your fair criticism and regular feedback if I personally fail to follow them.

I know that everything is possible unless you are dead and we must enjoy our lives and jobs, as this keeps the good spirit of living to accomplish the missions for our company and for our families.
